Summer Reading Program 2025
Step right up and get ready for a summer of fun at the library! Our 2025 Summer Reading Program is almost here, and this year’s theme is "Color Our World," with a spectacular circus twist! Join us for a season filled with colorful characters, thrilling stories, and exciting activities for all ages. Whether you're a kid, teen, or adult, we’ve got amazing events, prizes, and plenty of reading to keep you entertained all summer long. Registration starts Saturday, June 14th at Wayland's Summerfest. We'll have a photo booth, book sale, and a station where you can pick up your starter kit that's complete with some goodies and your very own reading log to track your progress.

Campfire Story Writing Contest
July 1st - July 19th
Enter your own campfire stories into our contest! Beginning July 1st, submit your own written Campfire Stories to your Henika Librarians! They can be “spooky” but please make sure they are family friendly. The top two winners from the Kids bracket and top two winners from the Adults bracket will win a prize and have their stories read aloud at our “Family S’mores Party” on July 24th @ 5:30 PM.
