Upcoming Programs:

Library Public Forum Tuesday January 16th 6:00-7:30 pm

Make your voice heard! Attend our public forum to express your opinion on the library and what you’d like in the future. Teens play an important role in the community and library- your opinion does matter to us.

Faux Calligraphy Saturday January 27th 3:30-5:00 pm

Suzanne Merrill from “Little Red Truck Design” will be teaching us how to do faux calligraphy. She will teach us the technique with time to practice and then give the opportunity to make a sign for hanging or giving. This workshop is limited to 12 participants. There is a cost of $5.00 per person for the supplies. Please sign up at your earliest convenience. The sign up list will be closed as of 4pm on Monday, January 22.

Stress Less with Mindfulness Tuesday January 30th 6:30-7:30 pm

Description:Holly B. Tiret, from the MSU Extension, will be presenting how to stress less with mindfulness. Start the new year with a new frame of mind.

 

Button Art  Saturday February 17th 12:00-2:00 pm

Paint a design and add buttons and more to enhance your painting. Limited to 14 people on a first come, first served basis. All supplies included. This event is free.

Teen Advisory Board-

Are you interested in reviewing and discussing new books? Are there library programs you’d be interested in organizing? Do you need community services hours? Teen Advisory Board is all of these and more. We’re looking for anyone interested in participating! Contact our youth services staff for more information.

 

Coding Club-

Come hang out at the library and practice your coding skills. Each meeting will have a fun coding challenge. Work as a team or on your own to develop your coding skills.

Some library laptops are available but if you have your own device (laptop, ipad or smartphone) feel free to bring it.

Rabbit River Writers-

2nd Wednesday of each month 6:15-7:15 pm

The Rabbit River Writers Group is an adult writing group. Come and hone your skills and talk about writing. Be prepared to read your work. Ages 16+

College Information:

Free practice site for SAT preparation. Might be helpful since schools are now giving the SAT instead of the ACT
