Stitching for Peace

Our service projects for each year are making items to give away to those in need in the greater Wayland area.

For the summer months, during our Summer Fun @ the Library, we are making hats and scarves for the military. This is a nationwide program called Operation Gratitude. 2017 Scarves for Troops program can be found at operationgratitude.com. There are many specifics to your project which can be found here. So please read carefully. You can also stop in the library and talk to Carol about your questions.

Please feel free to join us at any of our meetings or just bring in completed projects to one of our meetings so we can send it along with the other items we are donating.

We meet the third Saturday of each month from 10:00 to Noon. It is come and go as you need to and no mandatory meetings. Some people feel more comfortable just stitching at home rather than in a group. We like to gather once a month to exchange ideas or help anyone having a problem with their project, and just to gab and have fun. Anyone is welcome and as always this event is free and open to the public. If you are stitching at home please drop off your finished projects at the library during our open hours. We will see to it that they get where they need to go. Need more information, talk to Carol.
